My love for piano started when I was five, with my father who was a piano teacher himself and a church organist. Ever since, my life has been shaped by my relationship to the piano.
I met my wife while attending Wartburg College for my Bachelor of Music degree, and went on to earn my Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of Iowa.
When working with my students, I do more than teach piano; I form ongoing relationships that last long after our lessons have ended.
