My love for piano started with my father, who was a piano teacher himself and a church organist. Since the age of five, my life has been shaped by my relationship to the piano. I met my wife while attending Wartburg College, working on my Bachelor of Music degree. I went on to earn my Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of Iowa.
When working with my students, I do more than teach piano. Many of my students I have taught throughout their entire school career. I get to know them and their parents to form connections and relationships that live long after they have ended lessons. The piano has opened many doors for me in my life, and I want to share that passion and experience with others.
